Reno, a Quark, or Both? On the Superposition of Our Headquarters
Visitors to our reception desk are sometimes confused by our standard greeting: 'Welcome to newtrawn INC, located in superposition between Reno, Nevada, and a single charm quark.' We offer this explanation.
newtrawn INC was, historically, headquartered in Reno. In 2024, however, our then-CFO observed that maintaining a fixed location was inconsistent with our brand commitment to particle-grade ambiguity. The board approved a transition to a Bell state in which our headquarters could be alternately interpreted as a building in Reno or a single charm quark in a controlled environment.
The transition has been operationally seamless. Mail addressed to our Reno address is received and processed. Mail addressed to our charm quark is harder to deliver but is, we assure you, also received, by which we mean noticed at some level of abstraction.
Visitors are welcomed in both interpretations. The reception staff in Reno will offer you coffee. The charm quark cannot offer coffee but is, we are told, charming.
